Hello! My name is Dasha.
I graduated from Saint-Petersburg State University with a degree in philology. I’ve got a diploma of Philological faculty (2006) with an additional qualification in Russian as a Foreign Language. In 2004 I did a course in First Certificate in English preparation in Saint-Petersburg State University.
Since 2006 I devoted myself to teaching foreign languages.
I’ve worked as an English-Russian translator, as an English teacher in language schools and in Saint-Petersburg State University. Furthermore I’ve been giving private English lessons for 6 years to students at a range of levels and with very different requirements.
I travel a lot and have many foreign friends, so I know how important it is to feel confident when you speak a foreign language. I love reading books and watching films in English, French and Spanish, so I know how rewarding and exciting it is to embrace a foreign language. And we can only learn how to speak, read, listen and write a language when we are using it! So I always involve students in all these activities with an emphasis on speaking and understanding. Creating a positive, relaxed and engaging learning environment, I encourage my students to overcome their psychological barrier and talk freely during the class.
