I am a teacher living in Swindon near Oxford in the United Kingdom. I have been teaching English as a foreign language since 2003. Before that I taught computer software – mainly Microsoft products such as Word and Excel. I've taught students from many different countries – Japan, the Middle East, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Russia. I have taught business English to engineers working in the automotive industry and English phonics to school children as young as 5 years old. I have taught British culture to Japanese university students and Cambridge First certificate skills to au pairs and ladies accompanying their husbands on study trips. I have a wide breadth and depth of experience.
I have also attended a very useful two day workshop on IELTS run by the British Council.
I have a great love of Oxford and frequently make trips there to explore the college buildings and museums. I also enjoy film and studied it at Master's degree level – particularly French cinema. I go to the theatre quite often and love cats though my enjoyment of travel means that I don't currently have one!
Indoors I like to read all kinds of books, watch DVDs and play Nintendo Wii U games – a guilty pleasure!
