Current technological progress gives the opportunity to make the process of learning foreign languages more interesting, vibrant and involving by means of gamification and interactivity; this approach will certainly appeal not only to modern children, but also to progressive adults.

A modern e-learning platform
It’s been a year since our online school, Skype-language.com, introduced the option to study foreign languages—English, German, French, Chinese, Spanish, Greek, and more—not only via Skype using electronic study materials, but also on a modern interactive platform!
Nearly every month, we update the courses and textbooks for interactive lessons to make them suitable for all levels and languages. At the same time, your learning will continue to be based on a personalised approach, with each lesson conducted live—online with a teacher in real-time.

What are the advantages of the interactive platform for learning a foreign language?
We see how the learning style of modern students has changed. Few people prefer traditional printed books and notebooks anymore. Memorizing tables and handwriting long texts seems incredibly boring. People now seek engaging visual content and the ability to study not only far from home but sometimes even away from their computers.

The interactive platform allows you to:
1) easily study on any device;
2) easily return to previously covered material for review—simply log into your personal account and view the list of completed lessons;
3) easily find all audio and video files, as they are integrated into the lessons;
4) easily memorize words by adding them to your online dictionary and learning them directly on the platform through interactive games;
5) easily navigate and complete homework assignments in an interactive format, immediately seeing whether your answers are correct or incorrect, along with teacher comments on completed tasks, and much more!

Of course, interactivity does not replace traditional tasks like writing down new words, conjugating verbs, declining nouns, or handwriting essays, but it adds elements of novelty and gamification to the learning process. If you're used to using a variety of materials, links, and media files during lessons, you no longer need to search your computer for them—they will all be stored in your personal online account, neatly organized in the required order.

What is the downside of an interactive platform, or what can it definitely not do?
There’s only one downside—the platform cannot fully replace a teacher. However, this might actually be an advantage! Your lessons on the platform will never be reduced to something like Duolingo or other app-based lessons. In Skype-Language.com lessons, the teacher will always work with the student on all aspects of the language, including grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening (understanding native speakers), reading (including pronunciation), and writing.

Role of the teacher
We firmly believe that a qualified, experienced teacher—an expert in their field—is the key to success in learning a foreign language.
