About teacher of Chinese and Russian – Ivan.

Hello, dear friends!

My name is Ivan, and I am a teacher of Chinese and Russian languages. As an educator, I sincerely believe that knowledge of a foreign language is the foundation of mutual understanding between people of different cultures. My hometown is Yekaterinburg, but for the last 3 years, I have been living in China.

My teaching experience is directly related to my first degree. I started learning Chinese in 2013, while still a first-year student of Oriental Studies. After two years of study, I first went to China through a student exchange program at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and Foreign Trade (Guangzhou). There, I had the chance to meet and make friends with people from all over the world, learning more about their preferences and habits. After returning to Russia, I decided to dedicate my future to education, with the goal of helping as many students as possible gain the same exciting experience.

The second time I went to China was to Zhejiang University (Hangzhou) through a program of the Confucius Institute. After that, I successfully passed international qualification exams, including HSK6 and the highest level of HSKK. Currently, I am finishing my postgraduate studies at Beijing Normal University, where I study and translate contemporary Chinese literature.

Throughout all this time, I have always strived to maintain my teaching skills, and I am happy to share my experience with you!

Although my first degree is in Chinese Studies, during my studies, I completed courses in "Methodology of Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language." Subsequently, I applied my skills both in face-to-face and distance learning, and my total teaching experience in Russian already exceeds two years. Having lived abroad for over five years, I consider it my duty to share information about my country's culture. And teaching here is the most direct way to do so.

In my classes, I use textbooks and my own teaching methods, but I always try to adapt the content of lessons to each individual student. I am open to working with students of any age and language level.

Looking back, I can confidently say that China has forever changed my worldview, making me much more tolerant and simply kinder. I am sure the same is true for Russia.
